The core principle of the wood sawdust extruder (also known as a wood briquetting machine or pelletizer) involves high-pressure physical extrusion. By leveraging the natural binding properties of the lignin inherent in the raw materials, it cold-presses loose wood sawdust and other agro-forestry waste into high-density, uniformly shaped briquettes or pellets. This process requires absolutely no chemical binders throughout, constituting a purely physical molding technique. 

The raw material is subjected to high-pressure compression by a hydraulic briquetting machine to form dense briquettes with a diameter of 60 mm; these are then automatically discharged and are ready for immediate use or storage.

This process employs pure physical hot-press molding, relying entirely on the naturally occurring lignin present within the raw materials. Activated solely by thermal energy and pressure, the lignin melts and acts as a binding agent, requiring absolutely no chemical binders throughout the entire process.

The sawdust extruder primarily consists of six major components: the feeding system, extrusion molding system, power transmission system, discharge and cutting system, machine frame and housing, and electrical control system. The resulting high-density biomass pellets exhibit calorific stability and combustion sustainability comparable to medium-quality thermal coal, widely serving diverse fields such as industrial heat supply, modern agricultural heating, and environmental pollution control. It is efficient, pure, and has great potential for commercial expansion.
