Raw material requirements
A biomass pelletizer can process not only wood materials but also low-density coarse fiber agricultural waste such as straw and hay. However, pre-treatment of raw materials is necessary to ensure pelleting efficiency and extend equipment life:
1. Raw materials need to be crushed (particle size 3–10mm).
2. Metal, stones, plastics, and other materials need to be screened and removed beforehand (to prevent damage to the machine).
3. The moisture content should be adjusted to 12%–20% through methods such as sun-drying or baking.
