The screw diameter is 50 mm, and the machine measures 1470 × 1100 × 1250 mm. It uses a wet extrusion process - high-temperature, high-pressure extrusion - which is widely used in the production of aquatic feed and pet food. The discharge outlet comes with a variable-frequency rotary cutter, giving users flexibility to adjust pellet size and shape as needed.
Why a German buyer turned to Chinese equipment
According to Lerford's foreign trade department, the buyer is a medium-sized German food processing company that works with frozen dough products and pet food. Previously, they had been using European-made machinery, but high procurement costs and the hassle of changing molds pushed them to look elsewhere.
