The Single-head Vegetable Cutter And Dicing Machine Have Been Packed And Shipped To Türkiye.

April 10, 2026 - Zhengzhou LERFORD Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd. just shipped one LCH‑300 intelligent vegetable slicer and one LDC‑500 multifunctional dicer. But don't call it a routine export.

Vegetable Slicer Machine

Before they left, we ran both machines for four straight hours on real ingredients. Cabbage for the slicer. Carrots for the dicer. Not dry runs with rubber dummy loads-actual wet, fibrous, sometimes misshapen produce that you'd find in any Turkish kitchen. Slicing uniformity and dicing precision passed every mark. Then we packed them in reinforced, moisture‑proof wooden crates: 15mm baseplates, galvanised steel corner straps, and vapour-phase anti‑rust film inside. This week, they left Zhengzhou on the China‑Europe Railway Express, destination Turkey.

This isn't just another sale. It's a signal. Turkey's ready‑to‑eat food sector is ditching manual cutting and batch‑and‑wait processes. And there's a quiet but iron rule in Middle Eastern halal production: blades must never touch non‑halal stuff, and every changeover demands a full sanitisation scrub. These two machines were built with that rule baked in-not an afterthought.

✅ LCH‑300 Intelligent Vegetable Slicer

Built for continuous slicing of leafy greens and root veg. Don't let the word "continuous" fool you-plenty of so‑called automatic slicers still need a worker to hand‑feed one cabbage at a time. That's slower than a skilled cutter. The LCH‑300 has a 300mm feed opening. Drop a whole head of cabbage, a cored lettuce, or even long carrots. A pressure roller pushes them straight into the rotating disc.

Blade gap? Stepless from 2mm to 15mm. Adjust via handwheel and a dial. Here's an industry secret: cheap slicers fake "stepless" by changing belt speed-stretching the product, not actually adjusting the gap. You end up with slices that look like a bad haircut. The LCH‑300 uses real disc‑to‑stationary‑blade gap adjustment. Thickness tolerance ±0.5mm. Material loss under 2.5%. That means for every 100kg of veg, less than 2.5kg goes to waste-mostly ends and minor compression marks. That's at least 5% better yield than hand cutting.

The PLC isn't a shiny dashboard for show. It stores three thickness presets (say, 2mm for pickles, 5mm for stews, 10mm for grill sides). One button recall. And it has anti‑jam auto‑reverse: if a surge of wet lettuce stalls the blade, sensors catch the current spike, reverse for half a second to spit out the clog, then go forward again. This matters. Rain‑harvested lettuce is wet and fibrous-it can jam a standard slicer in ten seconds.

The whole machine is 304 stainless steel, IP66 rated. That means you can hose it down directly. Coastal Turkey (Istanbul, Izmir) sees 70%+ humidity year‑round. Standard motors and control boxes start sweating and shorting in three days. Not here. Waterproof motor. Sealed control cabinet with a breather valve. Daily output over 2 tons-250kg/hour, eight‑hour shift. One machine replaces six skilled cutters.

Operational nitty‑gritty (not in the manual): Blades last about 20 tons. Then replace or sharpen. We ship a spare pair and a whetstone. If the client can't find local sharpening, they can do it by hand. But the ceramic coating is hard (HV800+). A regular stone is mediocre. A diamond plate works much faster. Our after‑sales guys tell this to the client verbally-it never makes it into the printed pages.

✅ LDC‑500 Multi‑functional Dicer

The killer feature: quick‑change module. Four dicing sizes-3, 5, 8, 10mm. No tools. Open the side cover, slide out the blade grid, and slide in another. Three minutes. Competing machines? Eight to twelve bolts. Fifteen minutes minimum. And bolts drop into the hopper and vanish.

Blades: food‑grade 316L stainless. Better salt resistance than 304-important because Turkey pickles a lot of veg in brine. 304 pits over time. 316L doesn't. Ceramic coating takes hardness above HV800. So tomatoes, onions, acidic stuff-no rust, no metallic smell. Fragmentation rate below 1.5%. Run 100kg of raw material, less than 1.5kg becomes unusable crumbs. That's top‑tier for a dicer.

Why so low? A dicer first cuts strips with a grid, then cross‑cuts into cubes. If the two-blade sets aren't perfectly timed, you get partial cuts or fines. The LDC‑500 uses a dual‑axis synchronous gear train. Linear speeds match exactly. No speed mismatch.

Throughput: about 1.5 tons per hour. A mid‑size hummus factory in Turkey-chickpeas, tahini, plus parsley and onion garnish-manual chopping tops out at 30kg/hour per person. This machine does the work of 50 people. And the onion cubes are uniform 3mm, not random flakes. In hummus, uneven onion bits ruin the mouthfeel.

Halal compliance, the real version: Turkish Halal standards (Hummus, Meze, Yahni) don't just say "no pork." They also require that blades never contact non‑halal substances. Our machines ship clean and disinfected. All blades are virgin-never touched other materials. And if the client buys extra cutting grids for different sizes, we tell them: keep separate sets. Don't mix. That's how you avoid cross‑contamination.

Why rail, not ship?

Sea freight from China to Istanbul means Suez Canal, then a feeder vessel in the Med. 35+ days. The China‑Europe Railway Express goes Zhengzhou → Kazakhstan → Caspian Sea → Georgia → Turkey. About 18 days. Half the time. Freight costs are higher, but food factories in peak season can't wait a month. Simple math.

Crate details you won't see in a brochure: Two crates. LCH‑300: 1.6×0.9×1.2m. LDC‑500: 1.5×0.8×1.1m. Polyurethane foam inside to stop the discs from shifting under rail vibration. Outside: three‑language labels (Chinese, English, Turkish) for "Fragile," "Keep Dry," "Centre of Gravity." Plus special "Intermodal Transfer" tags. Why? The train changes gauge twice-from standard to broad in Kazakhstan, back to standard in Georgia. Each transfer means multiple lifts. Without those tags, dock workers treat the crates like soccer balls.

Why this matters for the region

Turkey is the RTE hub for the Middle East, feeding Europe, North Africa, and the Gulf. This isn't our first order there, but it's the first full‑container, two‑machine, rail‑based shipment. The client is a ~$5M/year food company making frozen ready meals and hummus. Their old gear was used European imports-hard to find spares, and dicing limited to two sizes. With LERFORD's machines: labour cost down 60%, capacity tripled, changeover from 30 minutes to 3.
