Application of the puff machine
This multi-functional food extruder, also known as a snack food machine, can use various raw materials such as rice, corn, sorghum, and millet, and can add various seasonings. The machine uses its own heat to extrude the raw materials, producing delicious food with a volume exceeding 90 times its original size.
After being powered on, raw materials can be added to produce food in various shapes, such as hollow sticks, peanuts, biscuits, millet, twisted shapes, and plum shapes.

1. The versatility of the machine makes it widely used in the fields of feed, food, and industry. Mini Snack Machine is based on the extruder (dry method, wet method, single screw, or twin screw). The Food extruder machine is mainly used for puffing corn, yellow rice, and other miscellaneous grains.

2. Our machine uses rice, corn, flour, and other grains as main raw materials. After the machine starts, the materials are subjected to friction and compression between the screw and screw sleeve. The internal pressure and temperature continuously increase, causing changes in the internal structure of the materials: protein denaturation and starch gelatinization, thus killing harmful bacteria. The materials expand rapidly under high temperature, and when discharged from the outlet, the pressure and temperature drop instantly, causing volume expansion and rapid evaporation and solidification, forming puffed food.

Main parts of the Food extruder:
Screw: Screw structural parameters include diameter, pitch, root diameter, helix angle, and screw cross-sectional structure. The length-to-diameter ratio of the extrusion components and the clearance between the screw and the inner wall of the extrusion chamber also significantly affect the equipment's performance.
Extrusion Die: This is the final process after the product passes through the food extruder, greatly influencing the product's shape, texture, density, appearance, and characteristics, as well as the machine's output. The bearing housing section mainly consists of the bearing housing, main shaft, bearings, bushings, left and right end caps, sealing rings, and round nuts. The oil filtration and cooling system mainly consists of an oil pump, cooler, oil filter, valves, and connecting pipes.

The operation method
1. Tighten the head nut and the rear nut of the pulley, and ensure the belt is tensioned.
2. Upon startup, the machine should idle normally. Then, slowly add small amounts of wet rice (i.e., add a small amount of water equal to half a rice or two rice grains, just enough to moisten the grains). Once the machine is discharging normally, immediately and continuously add small amounts of dry rice. Due to the low starting temperature and heavy load, the diesel engine valve must be opened wider at the beginning of processing, and the rice feeding speed should be slow. After the puffed product has formed, gradually increase the amount of rice. The increase in rice amount should follow the principle of power traction.
If the rice grains are found to be turning over at the feed inlet, it is because the machine has not yet reached the normal temperature during startup, too much rice has been added, or the discharge from the outlet is too late, causing the rice grains to turn over. At this time, stop adding rice and wait until the rice is properly placed before adding more. The snack machine must run continuously. The temperature will rise after 5 minutes.
3. During processing, if the puffing machine is found to have rice or puffed material at the entrance that turns into a lump and turns back, and steam with a smell of burnt smoke emerges, it is caused by too little rice, and the temperature rises sharply. Use a small wooden stick to remove it. Turn back the material and speed up the amount of rice. If the blockage is serious and the material cannot be unloaded, it can be turned off and removed again, cleaned, and then turned on again.
4. After processing, let the machine idle for 15-30 seconds, wait until the residual rice inside is burnt yellow, then turn off the power, remove the machine head nut, screw, screw sleeve, and eight-hole core, and remove the rice until it is clean, for the next boot.
5. The Finished product comes out hard and crisp, which is the relationship between the type of rice and the humidity. It should control the small point in the rice, replace the dry rice, or replace the screw sleeve.

Raw Material Usage Precautions
Impurities (stones, metal, etc.) must be removed from the raw materials beforehand to prevent damage to core equipment components (screw, sleeve).
The moisture content of the raw materials needs to be adjusted according to the machine model (generally controlled between 12% and 18%) to ensure the final effect and avoid insufficient or excessive finished product.
For raw materials with complex formulations (high oil, high moisture, high fiber), it is recommended to use a twin-screw extruder for better mixing and results; for basic raw materials, a single-screw extruder is sufficient.
