Zhengzhou Lerford: Dumpling Machine Fully Packed And Ready For Shipment To Germany

 Just after 3:00 PM this afternoon, inside the workshop of Zhengzhou Lerford Machinery Equipment Co., Ltd., the final screw was tightened and the last strapping band secured; a fully automatic dumpling machine was safely loaded into a reinforced wooden crate. This equipment is scheduled to be loaded into a shipping container tomorrow, departing from Qingdao Port and traveling by sea to Hamburg, Germany.

Before shipment, Old Zhang-the workshop supervisor-walked around the wooden crate twice, giving the casing a firm push to ensure there was no wobbling, before finally signing the shipping manifest. The humidity at sea is high, and ships can sometimes pitch and roll quite violently, so we simply cannot afford to be even slightly careless with the packaging."

The buyer of this dumpling machine is a medium-sized local food processing enterprise in Germany. They specialize in frozen pasta products, supplying both supermarkets and restaurant chains. Previously, the client utilized equipment from European domestic brands; however, aside from the high cost, they found the mold replacement process to be rather inconvenient. Ultimately, the dumpling machine successfully passed all of the client's testing criteria, and the order was officially finalized in March of this year.

 This dumpling machine is one of Lerford's flagship models. Featuring an all-stainless-steel body, it measures just over two meters in length and less than one meter in width, ensuring it takes up minimal space even in a small workshop. It integrates the entire process-dough sheeting, filling injection, and molding-into a single unit; users simply pour the dough and filling into two separate hoppers, and the machine automatically produces finished dumplings.

The machine comes equipped with several sets of molds that can be interchanged to produce dumplings of various sizes and shapes-ranging from tiny, wonton-like morsels to the larger dimensions typical of traditional Northern Chinese dumplings. Under normal operation, it can produce several thousand dumplings per hour-more than sufficient to meet the production needs of a small-scale food factory or the central kitchen of a restaurant chain.

In terms of cleaning, the machine's primary contact components are fully detachable and can be rinsed directly with water. The stainless steel surfaces are highly resistant to dough adhesion, allowing them to be wiped clean with a simple cloth. This feature is highly valued by clients, particularly those in Europe, where food hygiene inspections are extremely rigorous; if a machine's design contains hard-to-reach "dead corners" where residue can accumulate, it becomes nearly impossible to pass inspection.

One week prior to shipment, the workshop team began preparing the necessary packaging materials. A sturdy, extra-thick solid wood crate frame was ordered in advance, with every wooden slat undergoing fumigation treatment to ensure compliance with international phytosanitary standards. For protection, extra-thick waterproof stretch film was procured, alongside high-density shock-absorbing foam.

On the day of packaging, four workers labored diligently throughout the entire morning. First, the machine was securely bolted to a steel base plate, and the surrounding voids were packed tightly with foam. Next, the entire unit was wrapped in three layers of stretch film. Finally, the wooden crate was assembled over the machine, with the wooden planks being fastened one by one using a pneumatic nail gun. The electrical control cabinet was wrapped separately in soft foam and enclosed within a protective sheet-metal casing, which was then securely mounted to the interior wall of the wooden crate. Fragile components-specifically the molds-were carefully wrapped in oil-proof paper, packed into a small wooden box, and tucked into the remaining empty spaces alongside the machine.

"This way," remarked Old Zhang as he conducted a final inspection, "even if the ship encounters rough seas and heavy storms-causing the crate to tumble around-the machine inside will remain undamaged."

Once the packaging was complete, the wooden crate was transported via forklift to the finished goods staging area, where it was affixed with shipping marks, the consignee's address, and cautionary labels such as "Handle with Care" and "Keep Dry." Zhao, the foreign trade manager, snapped a few photos and sent them to the client, who replied with a thumbs-up emoji.

The equipment is scheduled to be loaded into a shipping container tomorrow morning. It will be transported by truck from Zhengzhou to Qingdao Port, where it will then be loaded onto a vessel. The sea voyage is expected to take approximately 30 to 35 days, with an estimated arrival at the Port of Hamburg in early July.  This is not Lerford's first shipment to Europe, yet with every shipment, everyone at the company still feels a sense of quiet satisfaction. "A dumpling machine isn't exactly a massive piece of industrial equipment," notes Xiao Zhao, "but the fact that we can sell it to Germany speaks volumes about the quality of our products. Everyone knows how rigorous the Germans are when it comes to machinery; if we can pass their standards, we feel even more confident about expanding into other markets."
