Extending machine lifespan essentially involves a shift in mindset from "passively responding to failures" to "proactively managing assets." It's not about "making do with old machines," but about using a scientific maintenance system to keep the machine at or near its optimal operating condition. The main goal is to achieve maximum production efficiency, minimum operational risk, and maximum return on investment while also considering environmental responsibility, all at the lowest total lifespan cost.
Environmental Confirmation
The ground is firm and level (cement/compacted gravel), free of oil, frost, or standing water; There are no obstacles or unauthorized personnel (especially children and pets) within 3 meters; warning cones should be placed; For outdoor operations, ensure wind speed <12 m/s (to avoid wood chips flying and causing eye injury).
Equipment Self-Inspection Checklist (check each item):
Hydraulic oil level is between "MIN–MAX" on the dipstick, free of emulsification, odor, or metal shavings; The blade is free of cracks and chipping; the cutting board has no deep dents (deeper than 3mm requires replacement); All fastening bolts (especially the blade holder, cylinder bracket, and axle) are secure; The emergency stop button functions properly (pressing it cuts off power/relieves pressure);
Products Description
After operation: Depressurize and disconnect power → Clean debris → Apply grease → Record → Return protective gear to its proper position.
Turn off the main power/extinguish the flame, wait for the hydraulic system to be completely depressurized (pressure gauge returns to zero); use a stiff brush to remove sawdust from the blade, cutting board, and guide rails; apply a thin layer of lubricating oil to the blade, piston rod, and slide rails for corrosion and rust prevention.
If storage is required, we offer the following suggestions:
Short-term shutdown (<1 month): Cover the entire machine with a breathable dust cover;
Long-term storage (>3 months): Thoroughly clean and dry the internal oil passages, then fill with corrosion-preventive hydraulic oil; After adding stabilizer to the engine, seal it with full oil, and inject 5mL of engine oil into the spark plug hole for rust prevention; Store in a dry, ventilated place away from direct sunlight, with the bottom elevated to prevent moisture, and run it unloaded for 10 minutes each month to activate the system.
This is a very important and core issue. Extending the lifespan of machines is not simply about "saving some money." It is the result of a series of strategic and systematic considerations concerning a company's costs, efficiency, competitiveness, and even sustainable development.
