Today is a special day in China - the traditional festival Laba Festival! In our company, we decided to order a delicious cake to celebrate.
Laba Festival is a long-standing tradition in China, dating back more than 1,000 years. On the eighth day of the lunar month, on the eve of the beginning of the Lunar New Year. There are many different customs and traditions for this festival, but one of the most common is eating laba congee.

Laba congee is a hearty dish made from a variety of grains, legumes, and dried fruits. It is usually eaten with family or friends in the early morning of the Laba Festival. The dish is said to have originated as a form of reverence to Lord Buddha in recognition of the fact that he ate very little during his six-year path quest.
Although we didn't eat laba porridge at the company celebration, we were still immersed in the festive atmosphere. We ordered a cake decorated with festive colors and symbols. The meaning of the cake is to hope that our company can get better and better in 2024. We are excited to share this delicacy with our colleagues and take a moment to appreciate the traditions and customs of our culture.

Laba is one of the many traditional festivals in China that reminds us of our shared rich history and heritage. Apart from eating laba porridge and enjoying desserts such as pastries, there are many other customs associated with the festival. For example, some people use this opportunity to do good deeds, such as donating money or food to those in need. Others may visit temples or perform religious ceremonies to honor Buddha and other deities.
Regardless of how one chooses to celebrate Laba, this festival is a great opportunity to gather with friends and family, enjoy good food and good company, and reflect on the traditions and values that are important to all of us. At our company, we are proud to be a part of this vibrant culture and celebrate festivals that mean a lot to generations of Chinese. Let's raise a glass and toast to the spirit of the Laba Festival!
