Lerford Ships Custom Soap-Forming Machine To Israel

news-473-378

We recently loaded and shipped a custom-built soap-forming machine to an Israeli client. The unit went through full functional testing, a thorough cleaning, and export-grade packaging before it left our workshop. It's now on its way to the Middle East – another delivery that puts our daily chemical machinery into a market known for its high standards.

Details

Israel doesn't let just any equipment in. Since 2025, the country has aligned more closely with EU regulations under the "What's Good for Europe Is Good for Israel" policy, while also offering a U.S.-standards-based track. For electrical gear, they enforce SI 60034, which mirrors IEC 60034-1. So it's not a market where you can cut corners on mechanical build, electrical safety, materials, or fit and finish.

The client did their homework. They looked at several suppliers, watched machine videos, checked credentials, and put our unit through its paces before placing the order. Our machine runs laundry bars, bath soaps, and the small hotel-size pieces – all on the same line. It's automated enough to keep labor low, and the molding is precise and consistent, which is what you need for medium-scale production.

Our Company's Strengths

We built this one to CE specs, with sealed electrical enclosures and hardened components that hold up in the hot, dry Israeli climate. It can run all day without giving trouble.

Shipping overseas always comes with risks – moisture, salt spray, rough handling. So we doubled up on protection. First, we wrapped the entire machine – motor, control box, mold assembly, everything – in heavy-duty stretch film, layer after layer, no gaps. Then we bolted it into a solid-wood export crate with padding inside to keep it from shifting. The film keeps out humidity and dust; the crate takes the bumps. It should reach Haifa in good shape.

We've been building soap-making equipment for years – not just single machines but full lines, from mixing and milling to extrusion, cutting, stamping, and packaging. We've sold into Europe, Africa, and West Asia, and we've learned what overseas customers actually care about: reliability, value, and support after the sale. This Israeli order is another step forward for us in that region.

news-621-419

The global market for soap production gear is growing – around $865 million in 2025, projected to hit $1.1 billion by 2031, with forming equipment alone expected to reach $560 million by 2032. Israel's own market is mature and still expanding, driven by population growth and hygiene awareness. And trade between China and Israel keeps climbing – $23.6 billion in 2025, up 7.7% from the year before. So there's plenty of room for good Chinese machinery in that market.

Conclusion

Going forward, we'll keep tweaking our designs to match different voltages, climates, and local certifications. We want to make it easier for small and mid-size soap factories around the world to get reliable, affordable equipment that helps them scale.
